Nothing has officially launched its most ambitious smartphone yet — the Nothing Phone 3 — in India. Priced starting at Rs 34,999, it brings a major leap in performance, design, and software over its predecessor. If you have been eyeing a mid-premium smartphone that stands out from the crowd, this one deserves your attention.
Nothing Phone 3 Price in India and Availability

Color options include the signature White, a new Dark Grey, and a limited-edition Community Edition with a unique backplate design created by the Nothing community.
Nothing Phone 3 Design and Build Quality
The iconic transparent back returns, and it looks better than ever. Nothing has refined the internal layout visible through the glass, making it look cleaner and more intentional. The aluminum mid-frame provides excellent rigidity while keeping the weight manageable at 193 grams.
Both the front and back are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6, and the phone carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The build quality is a noticeable step up from the Phone 2, with tighter panel gaps and a more premium feel in hand.
Glyph Interface 3.0: More Than Just LEDs
The Glyph Interface has been the defining feature of Nothing phones, and version 3.0 takes it to a whole new level with 20 individually addressable LED zones. Here is what is new:
- App-Specific Notifications — Assign unique Glyph patterns to individual apps. Know if it is a WhatsApp message or a Gmail notification without flipping your phone.
- Glyph Progress Tracking — Track your food delivery, cab ride, or timer progress through the LED bar on the back. This is genuinely useful and works with Swiggy, Zomato, Uber, and Ola.
- Music Visualization — The LEDs react to music in real-time, creating a light show effect. Works with Spotify, YouTube Music, and Apple Music.
- Glyph Composer 2.0 — Create and share custom ringtone and Glyph pattern combinations with the community.
The Glyph Interface has evolved from a novelty feature to something genuinely functional. The delivery tracking alone makes it worthwhile for daily use.
Nothing Phone 3 Full Specifications
Display
The Phone 3 features a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels. It supports an adaptive refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz, which intelligently adjusts based on content to save battery. Peak brightness reaches 1600 nits, making outdoor visibility excellent. The display also supports HDR10+ and 10-bit color depth for vibrant media consumption.
Processor and Performance
Under the hood, the Nothing Phone 3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset built on a 4nm process. This is a significant upgrade from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in the Phone 2. In our initial testing:
- AnTuTu Score: 12,50,000+
- Geekbench 6 Single-Core: 1,850
- Geekbench 6 Multi-Core: 5,200
RAM options include 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5X, with storage at 128GB or 256GB UFS 4.0. The phone handles heavy multitasking and gaming without breaking a sweat.
Camera System
The dual camera setup includes:
- Primary: 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS and EIS, f/1.88 aperture
- Ultrawide: 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor with 114-degree field of view
- Front: 32MP Sony IMX615 with autofocus
Camera performance in daylight is excellent with natural color reproduction. Night mode has improved significantly with better noise reduction and detail retention. Video recording supports 4K at 60fps with OIS+EIS stabilization.
Battery and Charging
The Nothing Phone 3 packs a 5000mAh battery with 50W wired fast charging and 15W Qi wireless charging. A full charge takes approximately 55 minutes with the wired charger. In our initial usage, the phone easily lasted a full day with heavy use including gaming, social media, and camera usage.
Software: Nothing OS 3.5
Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 16 is the cleanest and most polished version yet. Key software features include:
- AI Smart Call Screening — AI answers spam calls and provides a transcript
- On-Device Photo Enhancement — AI-powered photo editing without cloud processing
- Smart Drawer — Automatically categorizes apps into folders
- 3 years of OS updates + 4 years of security patches
The software experience is minimal, fast, and free of bloatware. Nothing has resisted the temptation to load unnecessary apps, and it shows.
Nothing Phone 3 vs Competition
At Rs 34,999, the Nothing Phone 3 competes directly with the OnePlus 13R (Rs 35,999), Google Pixel 9a (Rs 36,999), and Samsung Galaxy A56 (Rs 33,999). The Nothing Phone 3 offers the most unique design, cleanest software, and best notification system. However, the Pixel 9a has a better camera, and the OnePlus 13R charges faster at 80W.
Our First Impressions
After spending 48 hours with the Nothing Phone 3, we are impressed. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 delivers a noticeable performance boost over the Phone 2. The Glyph Interface 3.0 is no longer just a party trick — it has genuine daily utility. Camera quality is competitive, battery life is solid, and Nothing OS 3.5 is a joy to use.
If you want a smartphone that looks different, performs well, and does not overwhelm you with bloatware, the Nothing Phone 3 should be on your shortlist. Full detailed review coming soon with camera comparison and gaming benchmarks.
